The Caudium Group is pleased to announce you that Caudium 1.4 RELEASE is now out of the box.
What are the news ?
o Use pike 7.6 o More C low level functions to get more faster informations o More compatibility with Mac OS X (mostly Panther, but Tiger support is on the way) o More modules o New caching system that can cache persistent data on disk, mysql or in memory (this later one is not persistent anymore between caudium reload) o RXML parser is now based on Pike parser as Roxen 2.x/3.x branchs so it should support wide strings o Watch dog system has being added (thanks to IDA for give us this old archive from Roxen sources that permit us to adapt it to Caudium) o Accessed tags can works with SQL database for example cluster of servers o New Auth modules subsystem, we can now chain auth modules (eg trying ldap source, then mysql source and then /etc/passwd sources to get user/password) o <emit></> support a la Roxen has being added o JSP / Java / Jasper applications now works, thanks to marvelous work from Bill Welliver o Lots of code has being rewritten to have low level code to be compliant with MPL 1.1, getting optimizations by using more object code and/or using C optimized low level functions. o ....
