Do we want setxattr as a new efun in Pike 7.8, or should it be hidden in Stdio or System or something?

And that is silly. It's not like it's something that is used a lot and needs to be there for easy access.

i agree, i'd like to see the top level functions even more reduced. there are some functions like getpwnam and related where a few are on the top level and the rest are in System. if all would be on the top level it miht be a different matter, but this split is confusing and makes it hard to find things. same for some math functions which should all go to Math.
