I was wondering what the status of the 7.3 tree is. I have a simple SNMP agent (~200 lines) I'd like to contribute to Protocols.SNMP, as it makes that module more complete and demonstrates how to use Protocols.SNMP.protocol. I didn't want to add it, because I've heard rumors of a 7.4 release. Does anyone have any guidance about any of this?
Thanks!
Bill
I think we'll split as sone as we are beginning to get green plupps in the Pikefarm. I think we get those tomorrow so the CVS split will occur the day after or so. But since we're only talking about adding pike-code to the repository I see it as low impact and that you can go ahead with it if it doesn't produce any testsuite errors.

Also, before the split, could someone take a look at Crunch bug 3317: addition of a realpath function? The patch puts it in the top-level namespace, but it might actually belong in the System module (to replace resolvepath, which is Solaris-only).
I think we should be really careful about what we have on the top level. My opinion is that everything on the top level should always be present on all Pike systems. A programmer can not make such an assumption today.

Nice! Do it as soon as possible. It is a Pike code, so I don't expect any problem with interpreter.
But mark agent API as "unstable", as people should count changes in it.
BTW, thanx for your 'autodocing' of SNMP module.
