Since the current usage of "static" is moving to "protected" and the normal 'static' functionality is going to the modifier "shared", would it be a good idea to reserve "shared" as a keyword before the imminent release of Pike 7.8?
this has not been done yet? i think any keywords that have a consensus should be reserved sooner rather than later.

Making it reserved wouldn't be compatible. What could be done is perhaps to make it deprecated as an identifier, as a sort of preparation for making it reserved later.
If it comes to that, I'd like to do the same thing with "weak". There are probably more modifiers that have been up for discussion at one point or another, but I can't remember.
