hi,
i need pike 7.8 on debian lenny, and to avoid having to reinvent the package myself i would like to just rebuild what's already there.
markus, could you maybe upload the current state to experimental? then anyone could simply rebuild for her/his own machine by running apt-source and pdebuild or something like that.
i found the debian tree in http://svn.kibibyte.se/pike/trunk/debian/ though, and will use that for now...
greetings, martin.

unfortunately i can't make an svn checkout from that, or download a snapshot. can you help?

You can make an SVN checkout from svn://svn.kibibyte.se/pike/trunk, but you only get the debian subdirectory; you have to combine it with the Pike tarball yourself or using svn-buildpackage.
I could make an upload of 7.8.116 to experimental though, but I won't guarantee how well it works.
Or, if someone fixes the rsync of CVS to Eureka again, you could checkout from http://pike-svn.lysator.liu.se/...
The packaging/debian/ directory is not the same as the more Debian-official packaging though. Perhaps we could be working on getting the two more in sync?
You are welcome to commit to the SVN repository if you like, please see http://mc.pp.se/svncert.xhtml for instructions on obtaining a client certificate.
thank you!
the upload to experimental would be useful for the future to make the process easier, i don't think your upload will be much different from my own manual assembly if we use the same contents for debian/
also i would hope to see 7.8.316 soon...
greetings, martin.
