Were you not able to get any C code to play through SDL either? Does your SDL library have a mixer compiled in it (I think it is optional)?
SDL_mixer is a separate library actually, one that simply uses SDL for sound I/O.
Pike music plays a cool mix of creativity and experimentation. This is so interesting because musicians can re-use fake instruments to come up with expressive tones and at the heart of it all, a good cheap recording studio in Pakistan can serve in ensuring that the real essence is retained. Such music innovations continue to make music interesting.
Great overview of playing music using Pike and SDL. The explanation of audio initialization, buffers, and event loops is clear and practical. I appreciate the performance tips and cross-platform notes. Unexpectedly, the analogy even fit my logistics work, like choosing a chiller van for rent during real-time streaming deployments today. chillervanservices.com
