oh please! there is really no reason to insult each other. all you will gain is that pike will not run on debian at all. no debian user who is not already using pike will install it if it is not a debian package. (same goes for gentoo/redhat/mandrake) we need these packages if pike is to have any chance to raise out of obscurity. insulting the people that do the work is not going to help.
if there is a problem with pike running on debian then please help fix it, otherwise please stay out of this discussion.
