You plan on distributing Pike 7.8 to people running OS X 10.2 or earlier? Does 7.8 from cvs compile and verify cleanly on 10.2 right now?
I suppose we can make the change conditional if the existing approach works on 10.2, but as you say it seems better to take care of later. I'll wait a bit longer to see if Bill or someone else with a Mac wants to verify my patches.
