I think Mikael Brandström has made an IMAP client module, but I can't seem to recall any details at the moment.

FYI, you can find this code in the CVS of CAMAS 1.2 (while not used ATM): server/etc/modules/CAMAS.pmod/IMAPclient2.pmod
