The compatibility tree is modules that get activated if you use #pike <version>.
I would really like if the new class interface used SillyCaps instead of normal_caps, and we keep the old Crypto module for #pike 7.4 and below.

Well, I'm not sure exactly how much backwards compatibility is needed. But I'd really prefer to be able to be able to replace one or two classes at a time.
What is the compatibility tree, and how does it work?
Are there any testcases for any code that makes serious use of the crypto module, e.g. the SSL code?
