The section titled "New simplified method to write external C/C++ modules" in CHANGES.
As far as I can see, that section does not contain either the word "deprecated" or "dynamic_module_makefile". The "simplified" method is just that, a less advanced option which means you miss out on most of the builtin functionality (such as autodoc generation).
