The symbol "Array" is set to 0 in the masters resolv_cache (not the internal one) somehow when resolv() (as opposed to compile_file()) is used to intially trigger the compilation of the module.

Perhaps it's the internal resolve_cache that kicks in? But the question in that case is when the symbol is added there, and why it's different.
