Of course, I doubt it's _highly_ useful to manually call, except to debug a locked up program (i.e the SIG<whatever> feature roxen has). Might be useful I suppose.

Sure, the backtrace method could be called from Pike and return an array too. :) But of course, as I said, as far as I know this is Linux only (but other systems may have similar methods to do this).
