I didn't have msys installed on this system, so I wasn't able to try that. I vaguely recall it working, as well. I'm not sure what the problem is.

If I download a snapshot and build in msys it builds nettle and gmp from bundles for me. As I already have them installed the bundles shouldn't be built, but that is another problem.
