Another solution would be for roxen to maintain it's own set of dumped .o files. These files would be dumped in the same environment as the files are loaded, and thus wouldn't have this problem.

Ideally, modules dumped by Pike should be decoded by Pike's codec, not the Roxen one. Is there no support for switching codecs when resolving dependencies?
