Why does it rule out 64-bit systems?

Testcase that works:

string s = Stdio.read_bytes("/tmp/jwtmp/testimg.jpg"); object i = Image.JPEG.decode(s); i;

(1) Result: Image.Image( 227 x 149 /* 99.1Kb */)

Image.JPEG.encode(i);

(2) Result: "د؈\0\20JFIF\0\1\1..."

Testcase that breaks:

(1) Result: _Image_TIFF
