ok ok... this will be a problem... but branches are usefull... And also, I'm not sure that svn will allow you such "tweaks" in the future...
It will. Subversion's branches work by creating a separate copy of the tree, which you can do whatever you like with. Kind of like the repository copies we do today. :-)
