It's a synthetic CPU so the instruction timing and memory statistics are not extracted from the hardware CPU but computed in software so the hardware interrupts shouldn't be a factor.

But doesn't the fact that the program runs slower due to emulation mean that external events such as hardware interrupts will occur more frequently than usual (from the programs POV) giving an atypical control flow and thus false results?
