Interesting, but it doesn't explain the difference I get. I'm trying with cvs co -p -r... and cvs up -r..., both remotely from my box at Roxen and locally on pelix. I get no pop_type line anywhere in rev 1.230. Are you using the Pike/7.2 repository under /pike/data/cvsroot?
