Since it's not completely new software it's possible that I can prod a bit so that it can make it through in less than a week, like in the case of a single new binary package.
If it does get in, should it be the default version, i.e. have higher priority in the alternatives system than pike7.8? (I've planned to make a pike-defaults package similar to python-defaults, but that hasn't happened yet.)
