I also suspect the problem is with Caudium rather than with Pike. Maybe it does something inappropriate if the request comes in more than one TCP packet?

Spontaneous thought; Caudium truncates the data it sends to MIME (timeout?). Wasn't this a also problem in WebServer that has been fixed?
