doc extraction broken on 7.6 cvs

I'm getting problems trying to extract autodocs on 7.6 cvs. This doesn't occur with the 7.6 release. Anyone have a fix? Bill Parsing structure file "structure/traditional.xml". get_all_args

There is no get_all_args symbol for functions. Given that it isn't on purpose and that it should be possible to get a function, what symbols should be used?

Is do_really_free_pike_string the correct method to discard pike strings that has not been finished (i.e. begin_shared_string has been called, but not end_share_string)?

overambitious type checker?

I think the type-checker might be a bit *too* strict now in Pike 7.6.6. I have two classes, one callex 'xml', and one called 'Menu'. Menu implements xml, but it's behavour is quite different. Also create() is quite different in xml() and in Menu(). I then have a function which expects an array(xml), but gets an arary(Menu), and Pike 7.6.6 is not very happy about this. Didn't "create" used to be excempt from these type of type checks? For more info, see: http://fredrik.hubbe.net/hacker/viewtopic.php?t=143 Is there a better workaround for this than breaking up xml into two classes, one with a create function and one which inherits the other and adds the create function? (And then use the first one in all prototypes and the second in all function calls.)

hi, i was just trying to look up some old news announcements when i found that any url with http://pike.ida.liu.se/about/news/archive/2003/ will give the news overview, and any links like: http://pike.ida.liu.se/about/news/archive/2003/20030904.xml http://pike.ida.liu.se/about/news/archive/2003/20030625.xml simply give the same content as http://pike.ida.liu.se/about/news/archive/2003/ what's wrong there? greetings, martin.

License question for contributed source

I want to replace Array.dwim_sort_func with the C function at http://www.sourcefrog.net/projects/natsort/ ; it's much faster than the current Pike implementation, but is under the zlib license. I believe it's compatible with GPL/LGPL/MPL, but would like to be sure before I submit my patch. www.gnu.org explicitly says zlib is compatible with the GPL. -- Dan Nelson dnelson(a)allantgroup.com

autodoc and xslt

Has anyone done any work using XSLT to present joined and assembled AutoDoc xml files to a web browser? I'd like to not have to have little trees of html documents laying around, and would prefer to just transform the xml data into a web page. Any thoughts about how to do this? I'm sure it would be pretty simple for someone versed in XSL(T) and such. Bill

GTK in pike

I think the correct dll:s are in one of the 7.4 windows betas. Try install them first and then the latest one. I think it is enough to install ftp://pike.ida.liu.se/pub/pike/beta/7.4.11-20030101/ but if my memory fails my just try the next one :) Note to everyone: We should make a new 7.4 dist soon.
