creating Objects

hi, I need to create an instance of a class on C-level. I assume I have to allocate memory for the data used by the object. Do I do that directly or are there any macros/functions thath I ought to use. Another problem is that the class that I want to instantiate doesn't contain any data itself (only functions), but one of the classes it inherits does have data; how do I link this? - Sebastian

Of course, none of that matters since backend is also a cmod... I guess it's impossible to compile pike without pike and thus I suggest that post_modules is deprecated since they no longer have a purpose.

With the new pike parser code "make doc" hangs (at least for me). It appears to be stuck in gc_cycle_check_all_arrays().

If I make a program that contains float x = limit(0, 1, 2); I will, as expected, get C:/MinGW/home/Nilsson/Pike/7.7/foo.pike:5:Bad type in assignment. precompile.pike overflow in polymorphic functions

I've run into a problem with the precompile.pike from 7.6.24 while trying to use polymorphic function overloading. I've got the following methods: PIKEFUN object set_a(string a, string b, string c) ... PIKEFUN object set_b(string a, string b) but precompile goes into a loop which results in a stack overflow. Anyone recently looked at pikefarm 7.7? Something is going wrong with the testsuite. Most dots are yellow. The failing test has to do (as far as I can see) with the LDAP tests, which should actually be skipped because ldap support wasn't build in. Thnx, Marc

As stated xenofarm reports 2 errors. IMO this one is a bit harder. Pike version=7.7.13 The problem fails in running test_resolve.pike. Pike segfaults. After logging I found the program to fail with one file. If I remove the file with which this occurs (FIPS10_4.pmod) it doesn't segfault anymore.
