oracle and 32/64 bit binaris

I've got a minor problem when building Oracle support on a Solaris system. Apparently the oracle libraries come in both 32 and 64 bit flavor, with 64 being the default. The problem is that when building a 32 bit binary, the link fails because the wrong library gets linked. By editing the module's makefile and pointing to lib32 for the oracle libraries the problem goes away. The question is, is there any way to know whether we're building 32 or 64 bit binaris, so that we can make the appropriate choice? Bill

Time to remove some warnings? configure: WARNING: rntcc/rntcl/rnticl/rntecl detected. It most this deserves a "NOTE:" or "OBSERVE:" configure: WARNING: Enabling dynamic modules for Win32. We have been doing dynamic modules on Win32 for a while now. Time to disable the warning? configure: WARNING: Enabling bundle nettle from /export/aphraelraid/home/peter/hack/xenofarm/client/pike-7.5/bhelliom.bortas.org/buildtmp/Pike-v7.5-snapshot/bundles/nettle-1.10.tar.gz. Enabling a bundle should likewise not result in a warning.

pike -V7.0 removes Stdio.read_bytes() but does not readd the global read_bytes().

Error in the documentation

(Maybe this is the wrong place for bug reports, but I didn't find anything better.) I just discovered a small error in the documentation at <http://pike.ida.liu.se/docs/tutorial/data_types_2/container_types.xml>. Can't encode value: Failed to find name of program

Cannot call undefined lfun

Hi, I got a problem with Pike 7.5 that I don't have with older Pike (at least on 7.2): Pike v7.5 release 23 running Hilfe v3.5 (Incremental Pike Frontend) > object i = Stdio.Port(8080), o = Stdio.Port(8081); > i; (1) Result: Stdio.Port(ANY:8080) > o; (2) Result: Stdio.Port(ANY:8081) > Array.map(({ i, o }), 0); Cannot call undefined lfun `(). Pike & dumping

Hello, I'm currently trying to make Caudium startup faster. For now it takes 21 seconds for it to load all the modules on my desktop and I found a little improductive to wait so long when I develop on it and restart it often. I tried to dump the Caudium's pmods as pmod.o files with the Tools.Standalone.dumpit function. The dump works good but the startup is not faster so I wonder, how does Pike load .pmod.o ? Does it really make things faster? Do I need a special thing to load .pmod.o if the pmods are not within the Pike official path for modules ? (thought there are in the path given with -M). "restrict" verkar vara ett reserverat ord, vilket gör att Mird-modulen inte kompilerar. Filen src/modules/Mird/libmird/hashtrie.c försöker använda en variabel som heter restrict (runt rad 443-525). När jag byter namn på den till my_restrict så fungerar det hela.
