She loved helping us with the kids, teaching them our language and culture -- but she looked bored during the day. She would clean the kitchen several times a day. She would do ironing. She would iron everything -- she even put too much starch in my boxer shorts! Ouch! She just didn't seem very happy, even though I gave her everything -- or I thought I was providing her with everything. Sometimes she would just sit there and not say anything. Then I found a company that streams live Vietnamese T V stations over the Internet. Thanks for bringing the old country into our home." She smiled at me and I saw a glimmer in her eyes that I haven't seen in years - the years since she moved from the old country. I never thought I would see the day that I would find approval in my mother-in-law's eyes, let alone be a hero to her!
