can anyone tell what to do to make my 0.4 version dutch? is it just a matter of recompile or anything?

You have to run `msgfmt your.po.file` then you should get message.mo file in the same directory. Then rename it to mattricks.mo and copy to proper locale directory. You can see how to do it with pl or sv version.

It's great that you have translated the texts into Dutch. There are however a problem with it. You have erased the original texts in English and replace them with the translation. There are both msgid and msgstr and the translation should be in the msgstr and the original text should remain in the msgid. I will try to find a way to fix this myself, but I don't know how well I will succeed.

Great, I have added it to the cvs. There is a problem though since the plural forms aren't translated correctly so I can't test the Dutch language. Perhaps kbabel doesn't support plural forms?
Also, I have added you and Bartosz to the AUTHORS-file under "Translators".

kbabel doesnt support pluralform, when launching it with the pot file it state that pluralform was introduced in gettext 0.10.36 en are not yet really supported by kbabel, i'll try to fix it manually.
