LeaguePage and MatchViewerPage

So, I've made some changes to LeaguePage and MatchViewerPage. Kent, could you test and see if the LeaguePage works better or worse than before? Oscar, could you make sure that it doesn't get the old problem of disappearing columns in Windows? I have also made so that the default charset to convert to from the HT XML is the same as for the current translation in use. This should make it better for you Bartosz, please test it. /Ragnar

We now want to get out a new version as quickly as possible and has started to focus mainly on getting rid of bugs and implementing some smaller things we have promised (such as choosing formation in team selection). Also, some time soon, the translators will have some more work to do. /Ragnar

Infinite loop in Leaguepage.py

Hi, When I change the League, Season and hit Update the name of my team will show up with how many goals I've made, but then it will be stuck in a infinite loop, seems to be a redraw that is called over and over. Is there some way to sample the actual Python code? I'm _NOT_ attaching a sample of the python app (this time) because its quite substantial. I can get one any time if you want to see it though. -- kent

Match Viewer

Hello. I am testing match viewer right now (league matches) and here are my suggestions: 1) Proportion between important events and match report windows should be different. Let's say 1:2. I mean events should be twice smaller than match report. 2) Order of new messages should be inverted. I mean it's quite uncomfortable to scroll this window every time when new message arrives. Is it possible to display them in reversed order? The newest message on the top of the list. 3) Encoding... Wishlist.

Hello. First of all I would like to say that Mattricks has big chance to became the best program for Hattrick's managers. It's better every day, and I really admire your skills and enthiusiasm in developing it ;) Thanks for your great job! Keep going ;) Now some weird behaviour of Mattricks: 1) I suppose that he should remember my data? After launching it I've got empty tables/player lists and so on. I have to open some previous hrf file or download a new one, and then he load even all of old hrf files. 2) On summary page there is some odd string near right edge of Mattricks window. It looks like "itma" or "itra". I don't know what is it. 3) Money. I suppose that it's displayed in Swedish currency. But Mattricks add "Zloty" suffix (it's Polish currency). Could you change it to show always numbers in someone's currency? 4) Match predictions. If I paste some values from Match details then something weird happens. They are pasted well to Match prediction dialogue, but let's assume that it has pasted "poor" value for some formation and then I'll try to change it and click this popup menu, there is other level active. In this case it's "weak". For that reason it's impossible to change it to "weak". I know that it sounds cramped, but my English isn't perfect :/ Maybe you should try to "play with it" for some time and then you'll see the same effect. And now my personal wishlist. I'll be thankful for coding it or at least for add it to TODO list ;) 1) Match viewer. Mattricks should remember chosen matches. I mean it would be great to pickup some matches on Saturday and launch Mattricks on Sunday and watch the games immediately. So Mattricks should save list of chosen matches and maybe delete them aftere there were played. Favourite list. It would be really great to have some favourite list. I mean I've got some friens in Hattrick and I often watch their games. So it would be nice to have some list of friends and button to add their next match to Match viewer. 2) League tables. Favourite list once again ;) It would be nice to have some favourite list of leagues of friends, and button to quickly switch between them. 3) Lineup selection. Someone's asked for it if I remember correctly. It would be nice to have possibility to choose formation (4-4-2, 3-5-2, and so on), before picking team. Choosing between sparing/league match also would be useful. I mean players can play with red cards in sparings. Last but not least. What is Junior Spy? How to use it? Error in cvs

There's an error in the latest cvs version of Database.py, line 123, making it impossible to load gamedata by clicking the star next to the game. Traceback (most recent call last): File "/usr/lib/python2.2/site-packages/Mattricks/LeaguePage.py", line 221, in OnMatchReport dlg = MatchLineupDialog(self, match_id, team_i (etc...) dbs[dbname] = bsddb.btopen(None, 'c') TypeError: btopen() argument 1 must be string, not None I solved it easy: dbs[dbname] = bsddb.btopen('none', 'c') Finally I got a wish: In the league table tab, is it possible to fetch the league id and season from the latest downloaded hrf-file and making it the default option in the form instead of -1/-1? //Andreas

Mac issues

Regarding the latest discussion about the Mac version. There is an application to build python .apps: http://www.python.org/cgi-bin/moinmoin/BundleBuilder So if Kent would look into it, it would be much appreciated, both from us developers and I guess from the HT-Mac-community. It seems that we are right in assuming that the ComboBoxes caused the problem. Posts on the wxPython-list names ComboBoxes as one of the most error pruned functions in wxPython for OS X. /Oscar

The following only applies to the cvs version. I have done some performance optimisations in the database handling (the get_all() and sets() operations should now be about 1000 times faster than before). This has the unfortunate effect that you have to rebuild the database from scratch as I needed to add things to the database. If you have saved all the xml:s, this shouldn't be a problem though, just do the following (or similar depending on your OS): $ mattricks.py import /path/to/your/hrfs/and/xmls/*.xml
