(Sorry, hit send too early!)
Hi,
In order to simplify the testing process a little, I've decided to move to CVS
for future development (until all works fine and I submit it to the kernel).
You should find it easier to test out my future releases now. But the new
script could do with some testing. I have currently checked in a scriptified
installer for the 0.4.2 driver release. This is exactly the same as what I
sent here as a kernel patch last week, so I don't you need to test this like
its anything new. I'm just interested in whether the autopatcher works :)
You'll need to start off with clean kernel sources (but this is probably the
last time you will have to do this unless we change kernel version).
To download the release, run the following commands:
cvs -d:pserver:anonymous@cvs.sourceforge.net:/cvsroot/usbat2 login
(Hit enter, there is no password)
cvs -z3 -d:pserver:anonymous@cvs.sourceforge.net:/cvsroot/usbat2 \
co -r release-0_4_2 usbat-02-2.6
Then read the INSTALL file, I think it should be clear enough to know where to
go from there.
This should work against either 2.6.5 or 2.6.6
I've also committed kernel debug logs that you guys have posted to another
branch of CVS, so that I can annotate them and store them for future usage. If
anyone has any objections to this, let me know.
Thanks,
Daniel
