I initially sent this from the wrong account. Here goes try #2:
I have a Dane-Elec Zmate CF-only reader, which uses the same chipset.
It is 0x4e6 / 1010 / 5
I checked out the latest usbat-02 from cvs and built it. It appears to
be finding my card, but I am having trouble mounting since I use devfs
(Mandrake 8.1).
Here is the relevant data from /var/log/messages:

So it is on host1/channel0/id0/lun0.
My devfs has no /dev/sdx, x=anything as it is all under /dev/scsi now.
[root@mynock scsi]# cd /dev/scsi/host1/bus0/target0/lun0/
[root@mynock lun0]# ls

[root@mynock lun0]# ll

Obviously, a generic device isn't going to work.
Does anyone know how I can tell devfs about this?
I'm rather new to devfs, but I don't think I can just do a mknod or
something like that.
I did notice that it is seen as a removable disk:

Thanks in advance for any help you can give on how to mount this thing.
