strange connection problem on RH9

Hi there First I'd like to thank you for making this much needed tool. Very well done. However I'm having some strange errors on RedHat 9 and I was hoping someone could help out. My girlfriend just bought me an RCA Lyra MP3 player for my birthday. It's been rumoured that this driver allows me to sync with it, so I gave it an install. I had a few issues at first, but when all was said and done I was able to mount the lyra, read and write, and unmount just beautifully. So off I go with tunes in hand, happy as can be. Later I wanted to switch up the playlist, so I plugged it back in to the USB port. So is this the place to ask about this one, or should I be hitting up the RedHat mailing lists? Thanks for any help you can offer. Conor

lyra support?

Hi, I have the misfortune of owning an RCA Lyra RD1071A. Actually it's not that bad, but I don't use Windows anymore so I wanted to get this to work in Linux. I used your usb-storage driver, and can successfully mount this device, but when I write files to the device they're never saved! Also, I tried encoding a wav to mp3Pro format and copying that to the device, but STILL no luck, after unmounting the files just cease to exist! Does anyone know how to make this work, or why it's not working? Thanks -- Adam

problems with mdk91 and Lyra MP3 player

I just picked up a NEW lyra mp3 player - it is a new 40G model (RD-2840) and i was hoping that the Usbat2 driver would work for it. But I doesn't seem to be the case. (the 2840 is a USB2 device) I downloaded the mandrake 9.1 kernel patch and JUST RE-COMPILED THE MODULES, (I didn't build a new kernel) did a depmod -a, rebooted etc etc. oh - I'm not running DEVFS, everything seemed to work, the modules load at the right time but i can't mount the drive. 'mount' just hangs until i yank the usb cable. I can see the drive with 'fdisk' but it doesn't like the partition table. i wondering if anyone knows if I'm missing something, of if RCA have built this lyra with a different chipset (which is probably the case.) any insight is appreciated. Compilation problems

Hi, I have tried a couple of ways to build usbat-02 on my Red Hat 7.1 system (kernel 2.4.2) with no success. First I tried building from the src directory according to the instructions in README.first. This failed to find scsi.h and some other include file, and from the (incorrect) hint in README, I could fix that.
