Hi, list,
With a properly configured kernel that actually has the 0.5.0 driver,
detection and device creation works:

Mounting complains about a bad superblock:
root@luther:~# mount -t vfat /dev/sda1 /mnt/cf
mount: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on /dev/sda1,
or too many mounted file systems
I assumed that the filesystem on the card was vfat. However, fdisk
revealed otherwise:
root@luther:~# fdisk -l /dev/sda
Disk /dev/sda: 16 MB, 16449536 bytes
4 heads, 32 sectors/track, 251 cylinders
Units = cylinders of 128 * 512 = 65536 bytes
Device Boot Start End Blocks Id System
/dev/sda1 * 1 250 15984 1 FAT12
FAT12 is MS-DOS, so I retried with -t msdos, and it worked:
root@luther:~# ls -l /mnt/cf/dcim/100hp210
-rwxr--r-- 1 root root 292857 2004-11-21 13:51 im000811.jpg*
-rwxr--r-- 1 root root 322199 2004-11-21 16:45 im000812.jpg*
-rwxr--r-- 1 root root 339972 2004-11-21 16:45 im000813.jpg*
-rwxr--r-- 1 root root 356969 2004-11-21 17:05 im000814.jpg*
-rwxr--r-- 1 root root 380617 2004-11-21 17:06 im000815.jpg*
So, to make a long story short: Thanks, Daniel, for all of your work! It
will be great to have this working for the upcoming Christmas festivities
I was surpised that the camera put a FAT12 filesystem on the card, but at
least I can work with that.
Thanks again.
Kurt
