En nyfiken nyling

Halloj. Vet inte hur aktiv den här epostlistan är, men tänkte att det inte skadar att testa skicka något hit. Jag stötte första gången på Runeberg tidigt förra hösten, då jag började mitt folkhögskoleår av förberedande teater. Vi hade fått Strindbergs Fröken Julie i knät första skoldagen, och... ja... Strindberg är väl inte min personliga favorit, om vi säger så, när det kommer till vissa ämnen. Så jag letade efter andra som tänkt samma tankar som jag men som promenerat längre i de tankegångarna. Och jag hittade ett öppet brev till Strindberg, av Elna Tenow, skrivet 1890. Det var, och är, för mig ovärderligt. Nu har jag fastnat för en annan text från 1908, som jag inte vet om jag hade kommit över utan det här projektet. Det glädjer mig något oerhört. Jag hittade ett mindre stavfel i den OCR:ade texten och tänkte bidra med en rättning, men hittade då texten från december om projektets status. Kanske jag kan hjälpa till. Eller göra något. Eller försöka göra något. Jag är 33, och utöver de tre senaste åren på folkhögskolor så har jag jobbat med IT. Drift, web, databaser, jonglera och omarbeta data. Inte helt olikt det här projektet. Säkerhet är också något jag har jobbat en del med. Finns det något jag kan göra? Hur stor är databasen, om jag får fråga? Är det möjligt att på något sätt få en kopia som jag kan vrida och vända på och se om jag kan göra något av? Är inte intresserad av faksimilbilderna i första hand, men däremot de OCR:ade texterna och texternas metadata. Det som motiverar mig är dels att jag vill att den här sidan ska finnas kvar för andra, men så skulle jag också vilja hitta något smidigt sätt att få in böcker direkt till min ebokläsare. Mvh Björn (den) Ps. susning.nu minns jag väl! Den var mycket populär bland mig och många klasskamrater i gymnasiet. En autograf från skaparen av den tjänsten skulle vara en fin julklapp till en kär vän som är lika nördig och nostalgisk om "det gamla internet" som jag.
