What’s the ideal DPI for a print book cover?

The ideal DPI (dots per inch) for a print book cover design is 300 DPI. This ensures that the cover prints sharply, with clear images and crisp text. Anything lower, like 72 or 150 DPI, may look fine on screen but will appear blurry or pixelated when printed. When preparing your book cover design for print, also remember to include: Bleed area: usually 0.125 inches (3mm) on all sides to avoid white edges after trimming. CMYK color mode: for accurate color reproduction in print. High-resolution images: all photos and graphics should be 300 DPI as well. Rekommenderas: den är i sig själv ett mycket gott exempel på att bra typografi rör sig med minimala uttryck, utan minsta onödig form.
