Hi Ian! I fixed the bug and included your tenth animation frame. To get it,
do the following:
1. Delete OddWin32.exe from the cvs\Odd folder.
2. Do cvs update .
Now you'll get a new OddWin32.exe in the same folder. In addition, data.xml
will be replaced in the Resources folder. Use these from now on - any old
OddWin32.exe or data.xml that you may have on your hard disk won't work.
The animations are looking really great! There are a few technical issues,
however: the animation images are too big, both in terms of image size and
file size. Preferable size is about 200 pixels high - this will actually
make them look better, less blurred, on the screen. Compensate by changing
the scale value at the top of data.xml from 0.5 to 1.
Moreover, if you can find a packing algorithm when saving the png:s, please
use it! I think you should be able to get them down to about 15k each.
Finally, it's a good idea to trim all images so that there is no unnecessary
space above, below and besides the contents. This makes sprite handling more
efficient, and it might save a few bytes in file size too.
