fsh 1.1 seems to hang when run like this:
$ fsh foo.bar.com ls 2>&1 | tee log
but only when setting up the connection; if I run it without the pipe to set up the connect first, then everything is fine. This prevents me using fsh in emacs with remote CVS, BTW.
fsh 1.0 didn't have this problem.
