Summary: Answer "Has person P read text T?" efficiently Product: lyskomd Version: 2.1.2 Platform: All OS/Version: All Status: NEW Severity: enhancement Priority: P2 Component: server AssignedTo: ceder@lysator.liu.se ReportedBy: ceder@lysator.liu.se QAContact: lyskomd-qa@lists.lysator.liu.se
query-read-texts can be used to find out if a person has read a certain text. However, if the text has many recipients, a lot of query-read-texts requests can be needed, and each may transmit a lot of data.
I propose a new request:
is-text-read-by-person [FIXME] (( text : Text-No; person : Pers-No )) -> ( Bool );
which returns true if the person has marked the text as read in at least one of the recipients.
This request must ignore recipients that the current user isn't allowed to know exists. It should return an error code (rather than 0) if the unread-is-secret flag is set by the person.
