Summary: Supervisorship is a responsibility, and should require an ACK Product: lyskomd Version: 2.0.7 Platform: All OS/Version: All Status: NEW Severity: enhancement Priority: P2 Component: server AssignedTo: ceder@lysator.liu.se ReportedBy: ceder@lysator.liu.se QAContact: lyskomd-qa@lists.lysator.liu.se
I'm not sure that current Swedish law agrees with what I'm saying here, but I think this is the way things should be:
- an author is responsible for what he writes.
- the supervisor of a conference has some responsibility for what goes on in a conference. Anonymous texts that are illegal or immoral (according to the supervisors moral) should be subtracted by the supervisor.
- the supervisor of a LysKOM system has some responsibility for conferences that don't have an active supervisor. If there are complaints, he should act on them.
It is too easy to give away supervisorship to somebody. The new supervisor should have to accept the responsibility, or at least be informed about it.
