Well, the development of the Python implementation has stalled, because
lack of time. This doesn't mean that Hiveconf is discontinuated: It is
actually used in a commercial product, and it works very well.
A friend of mine has started with a C implementation as well, but I don't
know the status of that work.
My goal is to turn Hiveconf into a stable, well-known, well-used software
within a year or so.
