Hi!
The database on my keyserver became corrupt. This caused missing updates. Additionaly two empty wot-reings have been send today.
I'm rebuilding the database and starting tomorrow the updates should come in regularly again.
Joergen: I will send you another wot-dump manually

Three actually. But I had disabled automatic processing when doing some debugging so they were never used.

A suggestion: What do you say about replacing the update mails with HTTP polling? Instead of sending a mail you save the .wot in some directory your web server server. Like http://www.lysator.liu.se/~jc/wotsap/wots/ . It would probably be best if you PGP sign them. I can then regularily poll the directory through HTTP and retreive new .wots and their signatures.
+ Much easier debugging. Whenever the updates are not working today, I never know if the error is on my side, your side, or on some mail server between us. With this method it will always be simple to verify if a .wot is available on your server. + Spam filters won't affect the updates. + The redundancy of storing the .wots on two separate places is probably a good thing. + If they are PGP signed, other people can retreive them directly from you.
- Some initial work for you. - Some disk space used on your server.
What do you say? I know you are busy right now, but there's no hurry whatsoever.

Good.

ok, i will generate a wot-signature key to sign them.

I agree on all points

No problem on my side for that.

I will write it onto this list, when it is ready.

It is still calculating...

Just a thought:
If you ever want to change the repository/name scheme
from 2005-02-07.wot to 2005/02/07.wot or 2005/02/2005-02-07.wot
maybe now is a good time.

Hi Henk!
If you ever want to change the repository/name scheme
from 2005-02-07.wot to 2005/02/07.wot or 2005/02/2005-02-07.wot
Good idea. I prefer 2005/02/2005-02-07.wot
This way you could copy them into one directory if needed for whatever reason.

Me too :-)
For convenience, there should be a symlink to the lastest wot:
latest.wot -> 2005/02/2005-02-07.wot
It would be very nice if you could see what the 'latest' is, even in a browser that doesn't show the symlink info :
latest.wot -> 2005/02/2005-02-07.wot 2005-02-07.wot -> 2005/02/2005-02-07.wot
or
latest.wot -> 2005-02-07.wot 2005-02-07.wot -> 2005/02/2005-02-07.wot

I like it too. The current directory listing is beginning to be quite large, and that naming scheme seems convenient.

Yeah, that sounds good too.

Hi!
Based on the discussion here, I make the generated wot-Files available on my keyserver:
http://pgp.keyserver.ch/wotsap/
The file-names are as proposed by Jörgen and Henk:
Good idea. I prefer 2005/02/2005-02-07.wot
I also added links:
It would be very nice if you could see what the 'latest' is, even in a browser that doesn't show the symlink info :
latest.wot -> 2005/02/2005-02-07.wot 2005-02-07.wot -> 2005/02/2005-02-07.wot
The date in the file name ist the date when the wot generation started.
Cheers, Patrick
