Just upgraded to kernel 2.6.10-gentoo-r4 and applied the usbat2 patches.
Works like a champ with dbus/hald running, most of the time. Sometimes I
get a hang if I insert the media into the card reader after the latter is
already plugged into a USB port, and sometimes not. I've been able to
recover by unplugging the reader and re-plugging it with the card inserted.
The card reader doesn't want to see my Lexar 40x High-speed CF card, but it
sees older CF cards fine. This is probably a hardware issue and I probably
need to upgrade to a newer reader. This is an Delkin Devices eFilm CF
Reader-Writer and is several years old, so it may be that it just can't
handle the newer cards.
