It won't, we're working with the second generation (usbat02) whereas the
shuttle_usbat driver only supports the one and only usbat01 device in existance
(HP cdwriter 8200e)

Ack, that sucks. Is it totally dead? Usually these things can take a bit of
water if they are dry before you try and use them again, but I suppose a boiler
bursting may be another situation :(
