I didnt even realise there was a shuttle_usbat driver, i wonder if that would work as my, well was, described as a shuttle reader from lspci.

I like the sound of the ub driver, personally i think its a better way forward moving away from scsi emulation for mass storage/cdrw etc

I would've been gladly to help you but i have had a major "system crash" *read, boiler in my house broke, which was right above all my computers etc so now i have lost everything* all i have left is my laptop, my digital camera and reader were both soaking wet, so i don't know how i can help:(
