Summary: change of wording in documentation of the "login" RPC call Product: lyskomd Version: 2.1.2 Platform: All OS/Version: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: trivial Priority: P2 Component: documentation AssignedTo: ceder@lysator.liu.se ReportedBy: rasmus-bugzilla@dll.nu QAContact: lyskomd-qa@lists.lysator.liu.se
I suggest the LysKOM specification for the "login" RPC call regarding when "invisible" should be used is changed from:
"Invisible sessions are primarily used by software agents that do not act on the behalf of real users."
to:
"Invisible sessions are primarily used by software agents that do not act on behalf of real users, or when the connection to the LysKOM server does not represent an actual user session (eg. offline readers or polling clients)."
(or similar) in order to prevent users of polling clients to trigger unnescessary async-login and async-logout messages sent to other users.
